Halloween

On Halloween night in 1963, six-year-old Michael Myers brutally murders his older sister and is sent to a psychiatric hospital. Fifteen years later, he escapes and returns to his hometown of Haddonfield, Illinois, where teenager Laurie Strode is babysitting. As night falls, Michael stalks Laurie and her friends, turning their quiet Halloween into a nightmare. Director John Carpenter created one of cinema's most iconic villains with almost no budget, relying on suspense, shadows, and an unforgettable musical score. This groundbreaking film essentially invented the slasher genre and remains absolutely terrifying more than four decades later.
