One year after the traumatic events of Halloween 4, young Jamie Lloyd has been rendered mute and is staying at a children's clinic. She has developed a psychic connection with her uncle Michael, who has survived and is recovering in a hermit's shack. As Halloween approaches, Michael awakens and begins stalking Jamie and her friends once again. Dr. Loomis uses Jamie's connection to Michael in a desperate attempt to stop the killer once and for all. The film introduces the mysterious Man in Black, setting up storylines that would be explored in future instalments of the franchise.
