Six years have passed since Michael Myers last terrorised Haddonfield. Jamie Lloyd has been held captive by a mysterious cult and has given birth to a baby that the cult plans to use in their dark rituals. When Jamie escapes with her baby, Michael is sent to hunt them down. Tommy Doyle, who Laurie Strode was babysitting in the original film, is now an adult obsessed with understanding Michael Myers and the curse that drives him to kill. This film attempts to explain the supernatural origins of Michael's evil, introducing the Curse of Thorn mythology that divides fans to this day.
